I wanted to share this amazing one way direct route from New York to New Delhi with y’all!
Which Airline?
This deal is on American Airlines which flies direct between JFK and DEL in both Economy and Premium Economy.
Economy – Main Cabin
A one way main cabin economy ticket that costs $760 is currently going for 30K points and $5.6 in fees. This gives it a net 2.5CPP ($760 – $5.6 / 30k) which is a great use of AA miles.

Premium Economy
A one way premium economy ticket that costs roughly ~$2K is currently going for 110K points and $5.6 in fees. This gives it a net 1.8CPP ($1985 – $5.6 / 110k) which is an okayish use of AA miles.

Earning AA Miles
So how does one accumulate AA Miles? One way is to fly AA frequently to amass the required points. The alternative is to use the AA Online Shopping portal to accumulate enough points that can also be used for redemptions.
Citi/Barclays AAdvantage Credit Cards
You can also consider signing up for one of the Citibank/Barclays partnered AA credit cards that earn AA miles for every dollar you spend. The sign up bonuses keep changing but this is the easiest and quickest way to earn AA miles in my opinion.
BILT World Elite Mastercard
Another way is by opening the BILT credit card which has AA as a 1:1 transfer partner (and my favorite card for renters). You can learn more about the BILT card here.
